I am a professor in the Department of Writing Studies at Boise State University. I teach courses in professional and public writing, emphasizing user/client experience. My approach to curriculum design and teaching centers on experimentation, play, and the future of writing.
I have fifteen years’ experience in higher education leadership, and I held positions in program management, business development, and tech writing in the dotcom/web consulting sector before entering graduate school in the early 2000s.
My scholarly background includes research in rhetoric, new media, algorithmic culture, and writing program administration. I am currently working on a new project on sustainable curriculum design.
I am a top-notch interlocutor. I’m curious - and a bit quizzical - by nature. I love asking people questions to help them meet their goals.
